STEP 7 - THE SUN AND YOUR BODY

When you enjoy warm days outside, are you staying hydrated? If not, you may start to feel run down, tired, or even exhausted. Contact an emergency professional immediately if these feelings become severe for you or others, if you notice that someone cannot wake up, or if you experience severe levels of any of the following:

• Cool, moist skin with goose bumps when in the heat

• Heavy sweating

• Faintness

• Dizziness

• Fatigue

• Weak or rapid pulse

• Low blood pressure upon standing

• Muscle cramps

• Nausea

• Head Tension

If you are just beginning to experience these feelings, get out of the heat as soon as possible and find an area to cool your body. And use the following Essential Oils:

• Peppermint

• Lavender

Apply three to five drops to the back of your neck, along your forehead, and down both temples. Cool your body in a cool bath, lake, or other body of water. If none of these are available, get your clothing wet with cool water. Also, consider placing three drops in palm of your hand, cupping your nose, and inhaling!

AFTER SUN SPRAY

• 2-ounce Glass Spray Bottle

• 10 Drops Lavender

• 3 Drops Peppermint

Combine all Essential Oils into bottle, fill the rest with water, shake, and spray. Enjoy the relief!
